Anaemia

When your blood has lower than normal levels of red blood cells (haemoglobin), this is called anaemia. Haemoglobin is the part of the red blood cell that carries oxygen to all the cells in your body. A reduced amount of oxygen circulating through your body, which can make you feel tired, lethargic, dizzy or breathless.
Your treating team will monitor your red blood cell levels. Let them know if you have any symptoms of anaemia during your treatment.
If you have palpitations, dizziness or shortness of breath you need medical attention. Use the contact numbers you have been given. If you can’t get hold of anyone, go to your nearest hospital emergency department for assessment.
